Explain Isaac & Deb scripture
4 And He answered and said, “Have you not read that He who created them from the beginning made them male and female, 5 and said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? 6 “So they are no longer two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate.”
-This scripture by Jesus is in response to a question asked by the Religious Leaders in (v.3)
3 Some Pharisees came to Jesus, testing Him and asking, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for any reason at all?”
(v.3) Notice the question “Can a man divorce his wife for anything?” By the time Jesus was born the original standard for Marriage was totally distorted. A man could divorce his wife for anything. A man could put away his wife for not doing the dishes. Not cleaning up the house, or talking back to him one time. Then Jesus said in response to this low standard of Marriage (v.4-6)
-The first thing Jesus gives them is the:

Matthew 19:
4 And He answered and said, “Have you not read that He who created them from the beginning made them male and female,
-(v.4) Jesus tells us in the text that from the beginning the only acceptable form of marriage that is honorable in his site is that of a Biological Male & Biological Female. Although our laws change in the US to accommodate many different types of Marital Union. Our Lord only honors Marriages that happens between Biological Males and Biological Females. You will notice that the text says “have you not read He who created them from the beginning” this critical in that it tells us that the one who created Marriage is the only that can ultimately determine what is valid and what is not.

5 and said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’?
(v.5) Look at the text. Jesus tells us that he created these two beautiful creatures one Male and the other Female. And then he created this desire in both of them to leave the safe & comfortable confines of their own homes and connect with one another in a deep and intimate way. You will notice that Jesus focused his attention on the action that a Man should take:
a. Leave-This word means separate and leave both physically and emotionally. Prior to Marriage a man responsibility was to the welfare of his father and mother, but after a man takes a bride this relationship takes precedent over all other relationships particularly that of immediate family. We still love Mom and Dad but we no longer answer to them.
b. Cleave-Joined together; this word is the exact opposite of the word just used “leave” leave is a aggressive seperation from family and “cleave” is an aggressive joining together of two individuals from two separate families. Cleave carries the idea of two people joined together with glue. Emotionally, Spiritually and Physically.
What does this mean??
1. Isaac do not tell your personally marriage business to your family. When you have maritual issues or struggles go to an objective person who loves both you and your spouse equally or who does not know either of you well.
2. Deb you are not compare Isaac to other family members when you feel like he is not performing well as a Husband.
3. Isaac you are no longer Mama’s little boy. That relationship will change. When you are having a bad day, or when you have something private to share it should be Deb that hears it first before your cousins, and friends.
4. Deb When Isaac has made you mad and you just want to smack him in the face. Take some time away get calm then come back and express your concerns in a Godly way. He is Husband, he is a part of you, so to destroy him would essentially destoy you as well.
(v.5) “and the two will become one flesh” Look at what happens when two people get married the is Oneness at three level:
a. Physical Oneness-Used to be two separate home now it is two separate homes combine to one household
b. Biological Oneness-Within the confines of Marriage two people experience the Joy of Sexual intimacy whereby which two individuals Come together to form one bond
c. Spiritual Oneness-In the Spirit world God no longer see two individuals, but he see one individual unit. When one fails it hurts both, when one succeeds both benefit. When Satan attacks one the other one is affected, When God blesses one the other receives.

matthew 19:
6 “So they are no longer two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate.”
(v.6) Jesus reiterates again this wonderful truth “So they are no longer two, but one flesh” Then he drops the hammer:
(v.6b) “What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate” in this audience there are guest here to enjoy the celebration. But more importantly you are all witnesses here to give testimony that you believe this Marriage is ordained by God. You are also here to hold this couple accountable for the vows that they are agreeing too. In this case our acceptance of this Marriage is ordained by God.
Final Warning:
(v.6) “Let no man separate” This tells us that since God is the one that put this marriage together under the authority of all the witnesses in this room. No one should separate this marriage. Man does not have a right to separate this marriage for reason not ordained by God as well. God has given three reason for seperation from marriage:
a. Adultery
b. Desertion
c. Death
-All reason other than these are against the Law of God.
-God knows that there is no greater joy than to have two people who are so commited to one another that they do not let anything come in between them. They preserver through the tough times and then reap the benefits later on.
